Nach vielen Jahren als Fotojournalistin begann ich in 2009 nach visuellen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten abseits der “objektiven” Wirklichkeit zu suchen. Die Kamera sollte auch weiterhin mein Werkzeug bleiben. Die Wunderwelt meines Gartens gab mir die ersten Inspirationen. Dann fing ich an, mit meinem Rechner zu „malen“ und neue Werke aus meinen Fotografien zu schaffen.

Mich faszinieren Strukturen, Farben und Licht sowie das Spiel mit Realität und Imagination. Meine Intention ist es, mit dekorativer Kunst die Seele anzusprechen und die Phantasie zu beflügeln. Ich liebe diesen kreativen Freiraum, den Fotografie und Bildbearbeitung mir eröffnen. Mit großer Freude und Neugierde experimentiere ich mit meinem Material und bin fasziniert davon, immer wieder etwas Neues zu schaffen.

After working for many years as a freelance photographer, I began in 2009 to focus on a visual means of expression beyond the “objective” realism of photography. My camera would remain my main tool in this process.

In the beginning it was the wonderful richness of my garden that inspired me. I then proceeded to “paint” digitally and create new compositions from my photos.

I am fascinated by structures, colors, light and the possibilities of truth and imagination. My intention is to inspire the soul with decorative art.  Besides working with flowers and botanicals I am interested in any objects with geometrical and symmetrical structures.

I love the possibilities that photography and digital painting offer to experience beauty in unexpected ways. I am always curious to experiment and create something new.
